What this is
DimWeightCalc is a free dimensional weight calculator that compares 17 carriers across five continents — and the published divisors, service tiers, and exemption rules each one uses. It exists because most existing DIM calculators are either too simple (one carrier, one number) or too complicated (buried inside 3PL marketing pages).
What it isn't
This isn't a live rate calculator. We don't quote actual dollar prices because real shipping costs depend on negotiated rates, fuel surcharges that change weekly, residential delivery fees, and a dozen other variables that vary per shipper. We give you the billable weight; you can run actual rate quotes on each carrier's official rate calculator (linked from each carrier's page).
How we keep divisors current
Carriers update their published divisors annually, usually in early Q1. We review and update our reference data each January and call out the year in our divisor tables. If you spot an outdated number, please let us know.
